Communication through Google voice opens a new horizon for VoIP service providers as they can now send receive customer calls to and from Google voice accounts. Asterisk is the PBX of my choice. It provides chan_gtalk to connect calls to Gtalk. I think this save us an extra step of getting did from Google voice and your calls land on Gtalk using simply your mail address like this.
exten => 123,1,Dial(Gtalk/asterisk/abc@gmail.com)
exten => 321,1,Dial(Gtalk/asterisk/def@gmail.com)

I think this is the simplistic approach and have decided to try it. Currently I am facing some issues with this but hopefully, will be able to make it work soon.
