About James L Rathbun, I am an IT Professional with over 25 years of experience developing and managing computer networks for a variety of professions, including photographers, attorneys, aerospace and high-tech developers. In the industry, I have managed numerous websites and a multitude of industry, built and maintained a variety of firewall, VPNs, load balancers and usually placed in positions of trust well beyond the scope of my work. Generally speaking, I get things done.
Beyond maintaining computer networks and managing development teams, I have a variety of interest well beyond the computer industry. I am an avid outdoors-man and photographer. I am constantly planning and embarking on camping and hiking trips, jeep expeditions and in general anything which involves the outdoors and amazing locations. I am fortunate enough to have hiked across the Grand Canyon, rafted down it’s length (twice) and lead many backpacking trips into the High Sierra mountains and all over the United States south west.
Recently, I have started working on my family tree and learning more of my ancestry. This also gives me an opportunity to record and share the history and photographs of my family with other lost family members.
This website is about stuff that interests me, from projects to research into my family. I hope you enjoy and feel free to drop me a line.
